  1. Now that’s the kind of architecture that I’m drawn to. I love old buildings. Montreal made me nuts! They’d started tearing down old buildings and putting up real modern ones till someone told them it was cool to have old buildings on the “historic register”. So they stopped tearing them down. It made the city look like a jumbled mess. I was so disappointed. Loved Quebec City, however.

    1. We’ve got a few old buildings scattered around the place. I love old things too. They seem to pick up the energy of the people and events.

      1. Yes but look at what they have done to the actual “City”, as you enter from East London all the beautiful old buildings gone nothing but BOX flats, ugly ugly architecture if you can call it that – ruined the whole area. You can find “Old” if you look it needs to be protected.

      2. Too true. The city planners are nuts. They have destroyed a lot that should have been kept. Blocks of ugly flats and offices. But there’s enough left that is great.
