A nice man, much used.
Anyone with wealth attracts the sharks and hangers on.
You have to be strong and at times even if you are, those closest to you rip you off, use you.
Yes – Elvis was certainly ripped off right left and centre. His manager and the Memphis mafia were not in it for him. But I think he had a good time none-the-less.
Yes, but deep down there is always a sadness, always Opher.
He knew he was being taken for a ride but I don’t think he knew who to trust. He surrounded himself with people he knew before he was famous – on the basis that they liked him for who he was. But they were none too bright and were also turned by the money. I think it did make him very sad.
Of course it made him sad. Knowing he was being used, and couldn’t do anything about it. Greed turns peoples heads, I know I have seen it. There was no real love for him and that he knew, the only one that really loved him was his Mother, as is the case with many of these talented people.
Even his dad jumped on the bandwagon.
Not surprised, you would be surprised what “family” do when there is money to be had.
yes – family can be mercenary. I’m visiting mine at the moment.
Yours are not that, well I hope so!
no – mine are all fine.
Then you are OK
Yep – with one of them at the moment. All good.
