A poem of hatred in numbers
I wrote this poem for all the victims of terrorism around the world, for the people of Belgium and Paris, New York and London.
I wrote it bearing in mind Bali, Madrid and all the other places where the evil bombers have taken the blood of innocent people.
I wrote this for the terrorist scum and their doctrine of hatred.
The terrorists want to create division, hatred and war.
I feel that what we need is unity, love and peace to show them that there is a better way to live. We are better than them.
We will not hide in our homes and allow them to terrorise us with their threats. We will be out on the street defiantly embracing and holding hands.
Our intelligence services will hunt down the indoctrinated fools who planned these atrocities.
Our military will destroy the evil caliphate who behead, rape and terrorise. Such evil cannot be permitted.
Our educators will promote the message of tolerance and freedom.
There is no paradise awaiting monsters who have no love and mercy in their hearts.
There is no god who would condone barbarity.
The promise of virgins is an infantile concept for gullible fools.
There is no religion worth a bean that promotes rape and savagery. A curse upon all who spread the message of hatred. May they rot in their own hell.
Your days are numbered.

Their so called Faith is an excuse, all they really want to do is destroy. We cannot be stopped from doing what we want. I have no doubt the next target is us, Easter being such a good target for them. Death and destruction is all the terrorist wants, they live amongst us. Their families hide them hide the truth. Did one Cleric come out here in the UK and condemn the slaughter that took place in Belgium, No of course they did not.
They believe. I think they believe. They believe their view of religion is the only true faith. They believe everyone else is wrong. They believe the West is decadent. They believe they have a God-given right to kill, rape and destroy. They use their interpretation of the Quran to justify their hatred.
They are disgusting, intolerant, cruel, heartless scum. No god would forgive them. They are utterly misguided, indoctrinated savages. But then they come out of the criminal element. They are vicious thugs.
We do need the Muslim voice to condemn them. I think that is happening but we do not hear it through the media. They need to shout louder.
The people who shelter them, hide them, cover it up, need locking up.
This is a war. But the majority of muslims are as shocked and disgusted as us. It is Muslims who are suffering most.
What is going on in the world right now is devastating and most can’t help but feel like enough isn’t being done. I found your poem very moving.
Thank you. I think we have to make our voices heard.
Effective – should catch on!
Cheers Dave.
“The promise of virgins is an infantile concept for gullible fools.” That makes it about sex, doesn’t it??? 😮 This is not what God-fearing Muslims want. These aren’t Muslims. They’re just people looking for an excuse to kill others so they can feel better about themselves.
I believe there’s a complex psychology at work. The followers of ISIS use Quranic verse to justify their actions. There is no doubt that they consider themselves true believers and that they are following the letter of the law laid down by god. The fact that this is violent, intolerant and barbaric reflects some of their scriptures. It is the same with the bible – dashing babies heads against rocks etc. Fundamentalists might take the bloody intolerant verses out of the Old testament and use them to promote fear, division and violence. Most religious people focus on the pleasant parts – the love tolerance and harmony. The vast majority of Muslims are shocked and disgusted by what ISIS are doing.
The difference in their holy book, however, is that Jesus said he had come to fulfill the law. His followers were olive under a need commandment, to love one another. The Quaran doesn’t’t have that mandate, does it?
The bible is really two distinct books. The first testament is the Jewish testament. It was much more blood-thirsty and featured a different god. The new testament was the story of Jesus. The fundamentalists tend to focus on the earlier one.
The Quran has lots of similar themes. You can take it one way or another. It is supposedly about peace.
(Good Lord! I must have been asleep when I typed that. Not even sure what I was trying to say! rolls eyes…)
I got the gist. I keep reading through my responses and I come through as so dogmatic and arrogant. Please pull me up when I get on my high horse.
I just see you as passionate, Opher. We need more people with that kind of zeal and passion in the world. 🙂
You’re too kind Cheryl.
No, Opher. I just admire your tenacity. 😀
Thanks Cheryl – you cheer me up.
Hello Opher. Happy Easter Sunday, late – don’t ask! Hope you have not eaten all your Easter Eggs, I will enjoy a yoghurt and not egg – lucky me.
Happy Eater Anna!
I checked. The Easter Bunnies missed me out again. Why do you think that is? You don’t have to be good, do you? Like with Santa?
But I did get excited calls from the grandchildren. They’d been and left lots of eggs. Everything is alright because they assured me that they’ll eat enough for me too.
I can’t believe you did not get one egg, chocolate that is. Bet the children will all enjoy their eggs for you. Tell you what get down here and you can have an exciting yoghurt with me.
That would be nice. I love yoghurt – particularly frozen yoghurt! But I’m holding out for a big chocolate egg!
A surprise for this evening then?
That would be good.
