  1. Of them all (no mean achievement) 1) which is your own particular favourite 2) which one was the hardest work

    1. Green was the hardest work. But then the Roy Harper one in 4 volumes took me 20 years and was the most frustrating.
I like them all. They are so different. I think the Roy Harper unpublished new one is my greatest achievement but when the Nick one comes out I might go for that. I think In Search of Captain Beefheart is appealing. I liked that idea. But the Blues Muse might be even better than that.
So Sci-fi – Green or Ebola
Rock – In search of Captain Beefheart
      Ed – Passion for Ed.
      there you made me decide.

      1. The Roy one is finished in first draft. I sent it to Roy. He said he would write me an intro but he hasn’t yet. I’m not sure he ever will but we’ll see. When and if he does, or if I get fed up waiting, I’ll do an edit and maybe tout it round publishers.

      2. I’d love to see the Roy book. But surely now all the crap’s over, he’ll be feeling a heck of a lot better and perhaps will do as he’s told… “write intro Roy, now!”

    2. The Roy book is called Ruminating on Roy Harper. It’s the story of my involvement with him – a sort of parallel story. Not a standard biog.
