This is my 1000th Post. I set this blog up 1 year and three days ago.
This is a blog that I described as Marmite – you either love it or hate it!
Obviously hundreds of you love it. Thank you to you all. Your likes, comments and follows make it all worthwhile!
I set this up with the view that I would say exactly what I wanted. I have written about my passions – Rock Music, The Environment, Writing, Reading, Books, Films, Creativity, Politics, Religion, Civil Rights, Poems, Photography, Humanism, Antitheism, Sex, Philosophy, Art, Love and the Sixties.
I wanted to create a new positive zeitgeist. I wanted an opportunity to express myself. I wanted to draw attention to my writing and other creativity.
Some things work better than others. I dread to think how many hours I’ve tapped away on this. My friend Rich reminded me that everything I’ve written could disappear if WordPress pulls the plug. That’s quite a thought. It’s like life really – one brief flicker and gone.
My blog has now run out of space. I have used up all my allotted storage. I find it quite ironic that this should happen on my 1000th post. Perhaps I should open another one – Opher’s Other World. I have to decide what to do. Any suggestions?

I love Marmite and Opher’s other world sounds great. Congrats on your 1000. Does that mean you then have to pay some money?
Yeah – It seems you cannot just buy extra storage; you have to upgrade. That costs £250 a year so it’s a big decision.
Thanks for your support.
Best wishes
Opher
Wow! Yes as once hooked we may want to buy in. Always thought there was a catch !
I suppose that I have had a year for free. It is quite a jump though. If it was a small amount it would be easy to agree but this is quite a lot. I was wondering how they made their money.
I shall dwell on it.
I refuse to go down the advertising road. That seems contrary to the whole premise that I have set up.
We’ll see.
