A people full of hybrid vigour
Who strode forth,
Deploying belligerence and intrigue
To conquer the world.
They used technology, tactics,
Diplomacy, corruption and force
To divide, enslave and subjugate.
Yet they were themselves
Oppressed by a set of robber barons.
