Photography – Vietnam – The floating market on the Mekong – the bustling life of Vietnam.
Vietnam is changing fast. There is a population explosion. The cities are packed. The rivers teem with boats and produce. The forests are being cleared for coffee plantations. There is pollution and overfishing.
I fear that soon it will all get a lot worse. The future looks grim
Yet the country is beautiful and the people friendly. These photos were taken at the floating market on the Mekong.

beautifully brings
back memory
of being there 🙂
Cheers!! I’m glad you liked them!
Your Vietnam pictures make me want to go there so bad!
You ought to Pooj – before it is changed forever. It felt to me as if it was on the edge. It wasn’t sustainable.
That’s so sad. I’m trying to save up enough to try to go next year!
You’ll love it! It’s so different.
Beautiful, yet a worrisome future.
It was such an interesting trip but it did make me very uneasy about the future – the huge overpopulation and stress on nature.
Are they worried or trying to address the situation?
Not that I know of. People seem to be blind to what is going on.
What a shame.
More of a tragedy for both the people and the wildlife!
😥
Wow! Jenny you’ve had a real catch up here! Thank you so much for all your encouragement.
I hope your return to school has been a positive one!
Where have you found the energy?
I apologize that I’ve been absent, but it was all for good. Our daughter and her children were here from the west coast for a nice long visit. ❤️ And, teachers are setting up the new school 😳 So now I’ve hit you with way too many comments on your posts. Sorry! Still have a ways to go with other bloggers, and of course write a blog post, and finish getting ready for school tomorrow. Yikes!
Gosh Jennie – no need to apologise. It is always lovely to hear from you and encouraging to get response from the stuff I put out. Most people don’t even bother to put in a like. You positivity keeps me going!
Glad you had such a nice visit. Family are so important!
Thanks so much, Opher. Family first. 🙂
Too true!
