I first saw Joan back in the sixties. She was outspoken then. Thank heavens we still have sane people to speak out against the nastiness!

She’s doing a European tour now, her final concerts.

I heard her on tv talk about it. She said her bones are aching. What a fine career. But, her talent waned, as we were saying last week.
She’s one of those people you think of as always being around. I’ve seen her play a number of times. Sometimes she was excellent and sometimes it felt like cabaret.
