There!! If you play all them it will take your mind off all the corporate crap and consumer opportunities of our acquisitive culture!
The real stuff is getting together with family and friends and sharing!
I can’t play any music at the moment so I’m just allowing my mind to wander. This is what I might have been playing today!
Ok… So I nearly fell over when I saw the first song on your list! That’s going to take some explanation, young man!!! 😉
It’s a twenty odd minute epic that centres around a poem that is based on the attitudes of Geronimo – a nomadic human living the free life before the constraints of modern society. It follows the evolution of man. Roy was being facetious.
Oh, gotcha. Well that makes more sense to me then. LOL!!!
One of my favourite songs/poems of all time. One of the most thought-provoking and illuminating. Plenty of food for thought.
I was right there with Calen. I did a double take to make sure it was your site 🙂 That’s an interesting list. Sorry you can’t listen to music yet – I know how much you love it. Hope the unpacking and settling in is going well.
Slowly getting sorted – getting a bit weary though. Soon be firing on a few cylinders! Cheers Raili.
You picked the worst time in the year to move, didn’t you? Btw, did you move closer to the kids?
Take care of yourself in all of that too Opher xx You’re settling into a new groove 🙂
Yes it was not the best of times. We just found the right house and had to go for it. Not we’re not moving closer to the kids – just 5 miles down the road.
Yes – I think it is more upsetting than you realise. It is not just the physical effort of moving stuff and setting up home; it’s the emotional side too. You miss the good things about the old place that you are leaving behind. Life changes. Some of the new things are not as good. But that’s life. We’ll adjust.
That kind of song list I could party to. Across the Universe is just about my all time favourite. “Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup” and “thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box..” Wish words and thoughts could be so lucid! Have a good one in your new home, Opher.
Thanks Safar. That’s my favourite too!
Eclectic, just right for a solstice knees-up with cider and, er, sausages!
On sticks? Could certainly bounce about to a couple of them – not sure about the others – you’d probably need to consume a lot of cider!
