Have you ever seen “Ghosts of the Mississippi” with Whoopi Goldberg and James Woods? It’s Medgar Evers’ story. Excellent movie. I was moved by a bit in referring to the incident of his death in the movie “The Help” where it showed buses being stopped short of their destinations because of the shooting and how black people got off the bus and fled. In a movie that was basically a comedic-satire, it was a very poignant moment.
I haven’t seen that one. I don’t know why. Whoopi is a favourite of mine. I’ll check it out. Thanks Cheryl.
