That is one I shall definitely go to. I am keeping these pics so the Boys can download them for me, have no idea how to do that. These are great Opher.

I took loads. It was part of our Australia trip. We stopped off on the way. A bit of nostalgia for the old folks.
I read On The Road earlier this year. I had read it once before, years ago. I enjoyed it more than ever the second time around.
For complicated reasons that I looked into but haven’t really understood, On The Road wasn’t published until 1957, six years after Kerouac wrote it.
Wikipedia offers a ton of info about all of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Road

I reread it too a year ago. It still has that power. The writing has a flow to it. A very important book in lots of ways.
I visited the Beat Museum a few years ago. Cool place! We also took our own little stroll to find the house where Jack lived, which was a great experience.

I wish I’d done that! I’d have loved to have seen where he lived.

We trekked up and down a lot of San Fan hills to get there, but it was totally worth it, jut to know the place and feel the vibe 🙂
