Poetry – Bred on Hatred – A poem about fundamentalism.

Bred on Hatred

Following the Paris atrocities it is quite apparent that we live in a different world. The fundamentalists declare a caliphate. They wish to impose medieval customs from the seventh century on the world. They believe that every word in the Qur’an is the literal word of god. They want Sharia law. They want to kill all apostates. An apostate is anyone who rejects the absolute word of Mohamed. This includes millions of Shia and Azidis.

They select their texts.

They claim Islam is under attack which justifies the application of these texts.

They claim that the Qur’an specifically justifies the murder, rape of young girls and torture. It is god’s will.

You cannot argue with an indoctrinated fanatic. They are not sane.

I say that any god who sanctions such things is unfit for office.

The hatred and indoctrination continue apace. The insanity of fundamentalist religion is the biggest evil we have invented (Christian, Jew, Hindu, Muslim – I make no distinction).

To bring up children to hate or fear is abuse.

Bred on Hatred

Bred on hatred.

Bred on lies –

Paradise and virgins

Pie in the sky.

Defending dogma –

Attacking the world –

Psychotic death wish –

Insane senselessness.

Merciless, heartless,

Callous, cruel,

Inhuman, subhuman,

In the name of god?

Intolerance, bigotry,

Unspeakable crimes

Nazi, fascist thugs –

Today nothing rhymes.

Rape, torture,

Attack on humanity.

Not even twisted ideology

Just tribal savagery.

Bred on hatred.

Bred on lies –

Paradise and virgins

Pie in the sky.

  1. Opher, you have to back many more years. The cold blooded murder of PC Yvonne Fletcher, shot twice in the back from the windows of the Iranian Embassy, followed by the Lockerbie bomb. Cat Stevens and his nasty crew’s reaction to Salmon Rushdie, publicly calling for his death on UK TV. Later the 7/7 bombings in London and then the all too lucky bungled Glasgow airport attack. Then the hate preachers in London, such as Abu Hamza and the vile activist, Anjem Choudary and these organised demonstrations of hate at the funeral processions of dead soldiers. Hundreds of organised Islamic factions have been dissolved in UK over these years prior to any escalating terrorism. We have been lucky. They don’t need any Caliphate – that’s just an excuse for a word to describe their global manifesto of death to all but themselves. That is a running joke of course with Shiite’s killing Sunni’s under instruction from the governing Wahhibi’s. We’re kissing the arse of the Saudi Kingdom, who do nothing but buy and distribute more weapons – weapons we sell them – and their Islamic Wahhibi ruling party deciding who will fight who. These so-called “terrorists” are just canon fodder, exactly the same of those sorry fools who so gloriously went over the top in WW1.
The Saudi’s are smart, they keep a distance and never yet have “shit on their own doorstep”. Death is running rampant in neighbouring Yemen, yet it’s not featured in the news. I’ve been to Paris more times than I can remember and the average Parisienne hates these north Africans. Similarly with Berliners’ attitude to the Turks in Kreuzberg, and that was the case back in 1981-82 when I was there. Before Paris, there have been something like 280 odd major attack incidents throughout the world since 2002. We just don’t hear directly about most them, except maybe the major incidents such as the Madrid train bomb, the Nairobi shopping mall and the Mumbai hotel attacks. Up until 2014, I used European airports all the time, and particularly very frequently from 2009. It’s security madness all over the place. I don’t think you’ve been paying enough attention. Our lives changed forever back in 2002.

    1. yeah, you’re right. It’s been going for decades. The Saudi’s have a lot to answer for. Islam is an intolerant religion bred on hate and violence. But not all muslims are like that.

      1. Exactly. For example, Indonesia is by far the world’s largest Muslim country, but Islamic fundamentalism is illegal. Christians make up 10% and a couple of % are Hindi. Bali is mainly Hindi, if you remember the club bombing against Christian holiday makers. I’d been on that street with dozens of night clubs several times myself. In Indonesia, they execute Islamic terrorists. That says it all. Whether or not we agree with that kind of punishment is another matter, but indicative just how seriously a Muslim government views their or anybody’s activities of hate. Mind you, they execute for other crimes, too, drug smuggling being one of them.
The UK government (MI5, MI6) have been very quietly going about their business in removing certain persons. With no big public statements or any fuss. It’s all under the radar. There’s really nothing to gain by public celebration or gloating. For instance, that animal who was running that horrid posse of fanatics in Luton, the one that had a public spat with EDL’s Tony Robinson (who’s heart was in the right place, but made some bad decisions with the company he kept) has been brought to book, too. So, in due course with the constant removal of those with something nasty to say is about all that can be done. Crikey, it took them long enough to start doing that. If the government could order a blanket of silence from the IRA leadership, they can do the same with this lot too.

      2. Too true. They should be taking a much harder line on all these fanatics preaching hate and anti-western sentiment. They need locking up or deporting. If they want sharia then shunt them somewhere where they can have it.

  2. Well for what it is worth I do believe we should bomb them and that we have to sooner or later have feet on the ground. Perhaps if Assad had been listened to when he first was trying to deal with this lot and the West ignored him we may not now be in this position. I am not sticking up for Assad but these are the very scum he was trying to rid all of us of. What did we/US and others do, we armed these very bastards who now are trying to murder us. Russia was right in what it did.

    1. I have to agree. I think what ISIS stand for is reprehensible. We cannot sit back and allow them to rape, torture and carry out genocide. They are savages. They need exterminating. And I’m a pacifist who believes violence creates hatred.

      1. No one wants to see dead babies being brought out of buildings, but what can we do we cannot stand back and hope they will not attack us, of course they will. The bastards are already living among us ready to go. I do not like violence but this bombing has to be.
