Poetry – Strap on You’re Gone

Strap On You’re Gone

There is a religious dogma that promotes hatred, intolerance and the doctrine that killing innocent civilians will make them martyrs who will gain paradise.

That is all contrary to everything I believe.

I believe in a pluralistic society where people who hold different beliefs are respected. Where people can hold whatever beliefs they choose without discrimination and live in harmony with other people who hold other beliefs. I believe in democracy, freedom, respect, empathy, equality and love.

I believe the indoctrination, hatred and lies that cause people to strap on bombs, shoot innocent people, fly planes into buildings and saw peoples’ heads off, is evil.

There can be no excuse for callous, cold-blooded murder. That is insanity. No god would condone that.

War is a terrible thing. Innocent people get caught up in it. To target them is a war-crime. The people who target civilians should be locked up.

I wrote this poem to express some of those emotions.

Strap On You’re Gone

Strap on                               Cop out                                                Islam

The bomb                           Devout                                 Wham Bam

Then gone                          No doubt                             Imam

Not long                               Coward

No song                               Gun fired

Just wrong                          Expired

Not cool               Jihad                                      Bad taste

The fool               So mad                                 Disgrace

No school            So sad                                   Just waste

Believed              No brain

Deceived             In pain

Aggrieved           God’s name

So cruel                                                Bye wife              Savage

Bomb mule                         No life                   No age

A tool                                    Slice knife            In cage

Sadist                                    Preached at

Not missed                         Screeched  at

Unkissed                             Teached at

Doctrine                               Wants more                       In hood

No sin                                   Encore                                  He would

Tout fin                                                Still sore                               No good

Power                                   Attack

Cower                                   Hack hack

Sour                                       Whack whack

Heaven?              Dogma                  God’s will

For when?          Too far                  To kill

Amen?                 Death star           Pig’s swill

  1. Good Afternoon Opher, just. It would be so nice if Peace was at all possible, but I do not believe it is possible these are fanatics who want to impose their way of life on us, but in the meantime enjoy what the West has to offer as such Freedom, Sex, Drugs, Booze as we have been told those murdering bastards enjoyed before they went out onto the streets of Paris and slaughtered all those people. In no way can these people be negotiated with all they understand is Freedom.

In this Country as we wait for an attack by these bastards who either will come into this Country or more than likely already living among us, I would like to know why this scum who live among us and go on the streets defending their right to murder us, why the hell are they not arrested and their families. If I stood on the streets and advocated violence I would soon be arrested. I, after seeing a programme Monday evening about these so called “education centres” are not being raided by the authorities, not an appointment made to look over them by the councils but bloody raided, for as sure as hell not all of these centres are innocent. We have a new one of these centres in this town, why? I am now very concerned as to what goes on in there.

Back in the 60s/70s/80s possibly 90s I remember only too well the abuse, imprisonment wrongful imprisonment too, of the Irish People in this country, yes the IRA needed to be dealt with no doubt about that – now the Queen shakes hands with some of it’s leaders? Not all Irish people were IRA supporters, my own Parents had to take the abuse and threats from brainless idiots when the bombs would go off. I worked with a woman in the Pru who came from the north was Catholic and the filth I witnessed that would be said to her was beyond it, I would try to argue with these stupid girls who threw so much abuse at Bridie, did they listen to what I was saying no, they just were so full of hatred. In particular I remember one girl who would continually tell my friend how her own Grandfather fought the Irish back in the early struggles for Independence, her Grandfather was “Black and Tans” and don’t get me started on that filth. My point being we are facing a Holy War as these present scum want to call it, you can not talk to them but they have to be dealt with and if bombing them is the only way than sorry that is what should happen. The whole of Europe must unite and rid us of these murdering scum Bastards, innocent people will die but then they always have and you will never prevent that. Since about 1980 I have done my own campaign to stop Israel deliberately provoking and murdering the Palestinians, it is still going on. PEACE, this World will never be Peaceful.

    1. I’m afraid that even as a pacifist I am forced to agree – assuming that the information we receive is accurate and not merely doctored to engage our emotions. ISIS is an intolerant evil bunch of savages who are beyond reason and humanity.
But I would prefer to see the Arabs deal with them without our support. In the course of war civilians inevitable get caught up in it and killed. ISIS use this as a recruitment tool and call the West crusaders. If the Arabs went in they could not make that claim. But Saudi is funding them (at least billionaires in Saudi) and Iran is Shia. There will only be stability if there are Arab feet on the ground bringing order and not militia and religious fanatics stirring up hatred for power and control.
We could make a peaceful world if we set about creating more equality instead of just most profits.

      1. I have to agree with you it would be much better if the Arabs were to sort it out themselves but this lot of scum have brought violence to our Western World, we cannot sit back. I prefer Countries to sort their own problems out, let them get on with it, we have enough of our own problems.

It is our Freedom we have to protect, I don’t know what the answers are, finally Soldiers on the ground that will be slaughter, sooner or later I fear it will come to that and years and years of it.

      2. ISIL seem intent on provoking an all-out war with Christianity against Islam. They are religious nutters. They believe this is going to result in the fulfilling of a prophesy of Armageddon. It focusses on a small town in Syria. They believe they will bring about the Apocalypse and Allah’s will. They are nuts. It there was an all-out war the West would annihilate them. The weaponry we have is immense. The numbers are immense. They could not compete. But they think god will intervene. How many times have we heard that?

      1. Let’s hope that ISIS are sorted soon. If everyone gets together they will be destroyed. They are a bunch of religious sadists.

  2. That is the trouble will all of Europe get together, Italy will not. Germany well! Canada have pulled out, Australia have pulled back surprised at them. All have to work together to rid the World of these scum. Just heard right now on news Jeremy Corbyn can not support Cameron.

    1. I think he’s right at the moment. He wants a plan with what is going to happen afterwards. We’re too keen to bomb and leave a vacuum and chaos. What we need is something left behind that will have stability. If the Arabs get involved with feet on the ground we’ve got a way forward. They are quite happy for us to do it all and take the blame. We stir up terrorism and they smirk.

      1. Looks like to me Jeremy Corbyn perhaps is looking for a way out of all this mess and that would be such a shame. I do believe without the “back-stabbers” and the idiots he would have showed what he really could have done.

  3. I don’t think he can stop all those in the Shadow Cabinet and beyond who are defying him whether they are using this debate on do we bomb the rebels or not as an excuse to get rid of Jeremy we have to see. There are threats from Shadow Ministers to resign on what he has said, that email he sent was a stupid thing to do, He is in a very difficult situation, either he or Cameron may end up going because of this vote to bomb or not. I do think, maybe wrong, that he has had enough.

    1. I don’t know which one is worse of the three Bullingdon monkeys – Cameron, Osborn and Johnson. They are extremely slippery.

      1. Just back from INR. Osborn is a dangerous man I hope he will not become leader, I think he may have blown it. Johnson is not the fool people take him.

  4. Watch him next time he comes on TV, the floppy hair is all an act to make people think he is stupid, have seen him he messes up the hair just before he goes on to tal – hate them all none of them care, rich bastards the lot who care for their own – the “Oxfordshire Set”.
