Today’s Music to keep me SSSAaaAaaNnnEEEe in Isolation – Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here

I think this is probably my favourite Floyd album.

Probably their best album and featuring Roy Harper on vocal on ‘Have A Cigar’. Great stuff.

Floyd were amazing. Such a shame they fell out. I’ll revisit the animals today!! They aren’t as tame as they appear.

The pigs are still on the wing – heading for the next trough.

This always sounds fresh to me!! I’ll give it another whirl today!!

I though I’d go back to a bit of vintage Pink Floyd.

I suppose there is nothing that epitomises the 60s underground scene at places like UFO and Middle Earth than Pink Floyd. Those were the days of idealistic optimism. This album takes me right back.

Today’s Music to keep me SSSsSSaAAaaaNnnNNEEee in Isolation – Syd Barrett

There is something special about Syd – nobody sounds similar. Some of his songs are so simple yet not easy. I find them compelling.

I love Floyd – first saw them with Syd and have enjoyed all their incarnations and phases! This, despite being such a popular album, is still amazing.

Today’s Music To keep me SsSaAaaaNnnnNeEEE in Isolation – Pink Floyd – Piper At The Gates Of Dawn

I remember buying this when it first came out. It was so different to anything else. I still love it. It was groundbreaking.

Todays Music to keep me SsSsAAaANnNnNeeEe in Isolation – later Pink Floyd.

The earlier psychedelic Pink Floyd were amazing and revolutionary. So were the later incarnation! I always regretted that I did not go and see them in their stadium mode but we were flat skint and I couldn’t afford it. Never mind. We have the music!

Here’s one with Roy Harper:
