What is quite apparent is that the electorate are pig-sick of corporate politicians trotting out the guff that their spin-doctors and think-tanks spout. They are desperate for someone to speak from the heart and lay out policies that they really believe in.
Is this the end of the plastic politician?
Probably not.
Jeremy Corbyn speaks my language. He speaks from the heart and he makes sense.
All the other candidates are clones. They blow with the wind.
I want a politician who says exactly what they believe. That’s what made Nigel Farage popular. I despise everything he stands for but at least he said what he believed and I respect that.
I think A Labour Party with proper Labour values would be very popular.
But would it be electable? There is the dilemma.
The British Press and media would declare all-out war. They’d brand Jeremy loony-left. They’d rubbish his policies and lie, distort and exaggerate. They’d create such a frenzy that they would effectively undermine him in peoples minds. It would be enough to make him unelectable. The whole weight of the establishment would manipulate the minds of the people.
We saw a little of that frenzy with the Red-Ed campaign. Poor little Ed was not exactly Red. He was too much of a geek to be a real threat to anyone. But to read the Press you’d think he was a Soviet Terrorist in cahoots with the SNP to bring down democracy.
It was shameful.
What is even more shameful is that the public were duped by it!
So the dilemma is:
Does the Labour Party go back to its real values and elect someone who will champion the majority but who will be unelectable?
Or do they elect a corporate, plastic clone who will do a slightly watered down Tory and support business and the establishment and who might not unleash the media storm and hence be electable?
I know what I believe.
You should say what you believe, what you stand for and let the electorate have the choice!
We should demand the BBC and rest of the right-wing establishment media reports without bias and sensationalism. A democracy can only work with objective news. The media controls the minds of the people!
I can only conclude that we do not have a democracy. We are ruled by the establishment who pull the strings!
I vote anti-Tory! I vote anti-austerity! I vote against the war against public services! I vote that the Media should not control our minds! I vote against the controlling establishment! I vote Corbyn!
Even if that were to prove unelectable it would still be right!
