Thinking about Dave Mason and Traffic

Kind of feels like a whole era is slowly shuffling off into forever taking with it the ideals and aspirations of yesteryear.

I’ve been very nostalgic today thinking of those times having just written a book about my experiences during that incredibly positive decade. Makes me sad to see how the world’s turned out with all that naked greed, selfish billionaires, Trump, Farage and the gullible who are supporting these greedy populists. Trump and Farage are milking it for every last million. Trump’s made $5 billion so far and Farage is pulling in millions. Yet people still believe these greedy bastards.

We live in a world of perpetual war, exploitation, environmental destruction, racism, corruption and Elitism. A handful of people own half the planet while people starve. They orchestrate wars and division for profit.

Back in the 60s we were anti-establishment, anti-war and anti-greed. We wanted rid of the greedy elite who were masterminding this mass destruction for their own gain.

Guess what? The same greedy bastards have a strangle-hold on the planet. The sixties was a dream.

Takes me back to all those happy days grooving along to Traffic at festivals – always a great vibe. Feelin’ Alright live was immaculate. Very different, experimental and grooved.

The spirit lives

Adios Dave Mason

There was a lot to do before you died!

I have a fond memory of being in a field somewhere in England at some festival with traffic playing this. I was swaying with my arms around Liz and it transported us to a wonderland

Thanks Dave. We were feeling alright.
