Idyllic. Cold beer. Warm night. Beautiful sunset. Nice crowd. Music. Dance. Perfect!!
It was one of those magic experiences that you don’t forget. So intense.
We watched all the preparation as the Balinese people, all dressed in their finery, brought the food, offerings and ornaments. They began to drape the statues, put up streamers and arrange everything. It was all hustle and bustle but they were very friendly and welcoming, shy and demur.
Bali is a wonderful place, full of colour, charm and mystique. Their religion is incorporated into every aspect of life. The place is packed with art and artistry and the people seem very happy.
A ceremony was taking place. They were doing things up. The musicians had their instruments. Food, offerings and decorations.
I just love walking around in Bali. Everything is special.
We headed away from the ocean and stopped from some coffee that was special. It has passed through the gut of civets. I did not like the way they were kept.
We had to fend off mischievous monkeys to get to the temple. The temple is built on a rock that becomes an island at high tide. It was incredibly beautiful.
One of the most beautiful sights on Bali.
