Back in the mid-sixties there was only one Robert Johnson album – The King Of The Delta Blues Singers. It was hard to get hold of. Volume two did not come out to much later.
They were recording made in a hotel room, makeshift studio. Just a few sessions. All live recordings from way back in 1936/37.
They were gold dust. Robert was dead at the age of twenty seven, poisoned, before hardly anybody had heard of him. If only he had known how precious his music was and what an impact it would have.
