It was a terrible performance. England cracked under pressure. All the players underperformed. The manager’s tactics were woeful. The players looked like hamstrung puppets. When Rashford came on he looked like a breath of fresh air – unrestrained and willing to take them on. Why only three minutes?
Why drop Lallana for this game? Was he injured?
The fault lies with the manager. A manager’s job is to organise the team and remove the fear that stops them performing. He failed on both.
What a miserable performance.
The mid-field was shocking, dead slow and stop. Several players have got this terrible habit of stopping still before they pass a ball. It’s 3rd division stuff.
As for Rooney marking a guy 2 foot taller than him at that thrown in with the goal. I mean, really?
Well not only the players did not do the job, the one to blame is the stupid moron Goalkeeper, too bothered about his damn hair and his dandruff, he never concentrated properly on the ball coming towards him, they need to get rid of him now. As for the game it was Football Opher, not Politics – you are far too obsessed with EU you can’t seem to tell the difference between a simple game of football and the “sour grapes” of losing the Vote, can you??

Yes the goalkeeper was to blame for one of the goals. But the whole team played abysmally.
Precisely. It was extremely poor. The sad thing is that they have the talent and skill to take a team like Iceland apart. Perhaps it was fear? Perhaps it was Hodgson who did not inspire? Perhaps it was tactics? Perhaps they allowed the pressure to stop them expressing themselves. They all underperformed apart from Rashford but he was only on for a few minutes.
Sorry to interrupt I think nerves played a big part of it, but I do think they need to replace “Mr Head and Shoulders” he has made too many mistakes and then has the nerve to go in front of cameras. England should have and could have done better. Sorry Andrew I know you enjoyed Iceland winning, don’t spend all that money in one go!!
Goalkeeper had another bad game but the whole team were poor. Iceland are a second-rate team. We should have stuffed them.
Anna, Ssshhh! You’ll have me burnt at the stake for heresy! But I did have a tenner on England, too. Lousy odds. An Iceland £20 bet was a no-brainer and I did it for the hell of it.

You did not bet on England as well, cheeky you. You can’t even buy a decent Whiskey for £20, not that I drink it can’t stand it but in pain if it’s handy I will have a glass.
