Dr Feelgood were an early seventies Pub Rock band who specialised in R@B just like the Alligators. Wilko Johnson on guitar was amazing. Lee Brilleaux unfortunately died. But what a great band.
This is what happens when a bunch of Canvey Island guys do R@B.
Gritty, romping R&B. One of the all time great live album…Stupidity.
A great rockin’ band doing fabulous R@B with panache. Cheers Andrew
Reasons to be cheerful – Ian Dury another – and proud to be British! Wilko Johnson still going strong, still worth seeing, as are the current Dr Feelgood line-up. Such good material!
I was just playing that yesterday to cheer myself up. Car goes in today. I wish Ian was still with us, and Lee, and the Feelgoods and Blockheads were still playing pubs.
And Jimi and Miles had just completed their brand-new triple Planets Suite on CD … ah well, hope the car gets well soon without too big medical bills!
That would be something wouldn’t it? I often wonder what Jimi would be doing now. Biggest loss of all I think.
Car has been towed back – A big job I fear.
