I have been running this blog for twenty months. This is my 2228th post.

I have put out posts on:

and whatever grabs my attention .

I have met a lot of new, interesting people and found the exchange of ideas exhilarating.

I find it hard finding topics to expound on but, as some of you can see, I am opinionated and often controversial.

The one thing I will say is that I am passionate and I have strong views.

I have sold some books and received glowing reviews.

So – where to now?

Here are a few of my books. They are available on Amazon in both paperback and on kindle.

Anecdotes – paperback just £6.95  Kindle – just £1.99 or free on Kindle Unlimited

  1. I love the range of your blog, the strong opinions, the anecdotes, the lot. You are a throwback – a compliment, believe me! – to the idea of Renaissance Man, someone who can comment on every aspect of life from a unified point of view. It’s way better than ‘special interest’ blogs where everyone is in little boxes. Divide and rule works by limiting horizons to what is ‘acceptable’ and your robust iconoclasm and passion for first principles is a refreshing change to modish conformism. Your posted material represents a rich resource, a fund of ideas which might be re-worked in new combinations, new genres perhaps – I like the way you introduce poems with prose, for example – perhaps even as drama. You’ve done the hard work, Opher, maybe recycling would be fun. Perhaps even collaborate – I like that idea myself, as you’ve seen from my shared poem posts. Hope you’ll excuse these ramblings, just a few ideas of the top of my head as an admirer who would like you to stick around!

    1. Thanks Dave – I always find your posts and comments, along with all those of my regular contributors, uplifting and encouraging. I love debate and a chance to examine my own views and opinions to see if they hold up.
It’s a bit of a time of thoughtful evaluation. I’ve been working flat out for a long time and going nowhere fast. Something isn’t working.

      1. The energy you’ve put in has created a wonderful fact/ideas/opinion resource. A bit of tweaking/combining/synthesising would perhaps convert this goldmine into some sparkling new artefacts, if you’ll forgive the laboured metaphor. Art attack? What about reposting bits of old ones alongside pictures/quotes/new links? I love finding pics to illustrate my posts tho think I should start acknowledging sources more than I do! Anyway, good luck with your future online and offline projects!

  2. Another quick thought – it would be good to read short summaries, brief extracts, reviews of your books here, as well as just the links.

    1. Good ideas. It’s finding the time to select and sort them. Thanks again for all your words of encouragement.
