But then one has to think things through. Is there such a thing as a good war? Is there a cause that I would be prepared to put my body on the line for? You understand that this is only theoretical. At fifty-three years of age it is unlikely, unless things got really desperate, that I would ever be called upon to go and fight.
The answer is yes!
In principle I might be tempted to fight in the Great World Government wars, the whale wars, gorilla protection skirmishes, anti-exploitation wars, the war to end poverty, the artistic freedom wars, the lets all ban religion wars and the protect me and my family wars. That last one would have to have its parameters looked at very carefully.
