Motorhead – Ace of Spades – For Simon Dean and all the long-shot students of mine out there changing the world for the better. Who wants to live forever?

MOTORHEAD0000

Lemmy knew just what he wanted with Motorhead; he wanted the loudest, meanest, most aggressive sound in the world and that precisely what he got. They were uncompromising, marrying Heavy Metal and Punk into a ferocious, high speed thunder. It worked.

They were like an express train with attitude.

Somewhere out there in the world are a whole bunch of my students. Hopefully you’re all putting the world to rights with the same energy and passion that Lemmy put into Motorhead. The Punk generation needs to assert itself and take the world by the scruff. You can do anything if you want to enough! Go for it!!!

“Ace Of Spades”
If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man,
You win some, lose some, all the same to me,
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,
I don’t share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,
Going with the flow, it’s all the game to me,
Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,
Double up or quit, double stake or split,
The Ace Of Spades

You know I’m born to lose, and gambling’s for fools,
But that’s the way I like it baby,
I don’t wanna live for ever,
And don’t forget the joker!

Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me,
Read ’em and weep, the dead man’s hand again,
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,
The only thing you see, you know it’s gonna be,
The Ace Of Spades

  1. Great! I really like your web site. You might want to do more to promote this.
Building back-links will improve your rankings immensely.
Making backlinks should be continuous. Whenever new backlinks stop getting built, your rankings will probably reduce.
    When you buy backlink

  2. Reblogged this on Opher's World and commented:

It was sad to hear of Lemmy’s death. That came out of the blue. I’m reblogging this as a tribute to someone who burned! Lemmy rocked!

  3. I loved Motorhead, used to drive my mom crazy. I was raised on motown and classical music. This news is sad, but he really lived it up until the end. I just read a couple articles on him and his wild life. I never knew anything about him personally, I just though he was hot and I loved his voice. I still have a Motorhead cassette.

  4. Normally I do not read article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very compelled me to check out and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, quite nice article.

  6. After I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.
Perhaps there is a means you can remove me from that service?
    Cheers!
