As it was continually drizzling we headed for the museum which was actually an old fortress on an island with a causeway.
I was particularly taken with the underground cistern with its arches.
Then we had a brief look at the ancient lighthouse.

It was pouring with rain as we walked around town. We spent some time indoors – churches and museums. Being an atheist does not stop me enjoying the architecture and art. All the best artisans were deployed. I enjoy it.
My wife is a dancer. Where-ever we travel I find myself attending various dance performances.
Flamenco is a dance that expresses that pride that is the heart of Spain.
One of the wonders of the world. Simply stunning. The decoration, artwork and beauty of this Moorish palace. Incredible.
I fell in love with the wonderful ornate tilework. The art was exquisite.
I do love Muslim architecture and design. The Moorish mosque in Cordoba is ver beautiful.
The history is immense too. When Isabella kicked the Muslims out they built a cathedral in the middle of it! So weird.
The stupidity of religion, conflict and division; the beauty of design, decoration and art.
What a strange world we live in.
Full of the most incredible Muslim design, colour and architecture. Lavish and gorgeous.
I love walking around in a different culture, preferably in the warmth, soaking it in, looking for things of interest, snapping shots.
The Metrapol Parasol is amazing! Lit up at night it is spectacular.
