It was a dull day to walk around. I love seeking out the artwork. We are surrounded with much creativity and beauty. Vigo was full of it.

As it was continually drizzling we headed for the museum which was actually an old fortress on an island with a causeway.

I was particularly taken with the underground cistern with its arches.

Then we had a brief look at the ancient lighthouse.

It was pouring with rain as we walked around town. We spent some time indoors – churches and museums. Being an atheist does not stop me enjoying the architecture and art. All the best artisans were deployed. I enjoy it.

I do love Muslim architecture and design. The Moorish mosque in Cordoba is ver beautiful.

The history is immense too. When Isabella kicked the Muslims out they built a cathedral in the middle of it! So weird.

The stupidity of religion, conflict and division; the beauty of design, decoration and art.
