False Volcanoes in Iceland

It makes you aware of the massive forces of nature – and this is a tiny planet. Just imagine galaxy-eating black holes!

The frozen Trolls of Hallarflot – Iceland.

If trolls are caught in daylight they are frozen into rock.

Iceland – sulphurous pools and jagged moss-covered lava sheets.

We drove from the geothermal region across the lava plains. We found an ancient sheepfold made of lumps of volcanic rock. On the horizon was the crater of a huge volcano. We were surrounded with volcanoes, glaciers and jagged lava.

We drove off from the Godafoss falls towards the geothermal wonders of Geysir. Everywhere was volcanoes, lava flows and glaciers.

Iceland – Akureyri in the majestic north

We drove off through the mountainous landscape, replete with glaciers, towards waterfalls and thermal sites. The sun shone. All was good.
