Iceland – sulphurous pools and jagged moss-covered lava sheets.

We drove from the geothermal region across the lava plains. We found an ancient sheepfold made of lumps of volcanic rock. On the horizon was the crater of a huge volcano. We were surrounded with volcanoes, glaciers and jagged lava.
