We slid in along the coast, the volcanoes enshrouded in early morning mist. We slipped into harbour among flocks of long-beaked wading birds and fishing boats.

Travelling further afield – out into the hills. He had lynch, with a local beer, on a roof terrace overlooking a smoking volcano.
