South West Rocks – Australia, Around the Rocks.

We should have taken more water!! But we drank in the scenery!!

Australia – Walking around the Headland at South West Rocks.

It was 40 degrees. The coast was beautiful. It was hot. We were thirsty!! The water looked inviting!

Amazing what you find when you start walking down the trails. Birdlife was amazing.

I caught sight of this butcher bird with a large grasshopper that it proceeded to devour.

We set off on a walk and immediately came across a mob of kangaroos. They were quite relaxed though the big male watched us intently. A mother had a big baby in her pouch. Great to see.

It is so good to see so much in the way of wildlife. We’ve killed most of ours. Already wildlife is getting rarer in Australia. Soon this rich world od animals will be a memory.

Australia – Performance Art and The Hot Potato Band

Painting while the music plays could be described as painting by numbers.

The hot potato band were hot. As it was around 40 degrees that made them even hotter!!

Australia – out in the bush up in the hills.

We went off visiting and took a detour up into the hills overlooking Newcastle. Great views and those prehistoric fern trees.

Ain’t nature great?? To think we’re just a tiny cog in this mighty machine. Nature is art.

We were incredibly lucky to stumble upon this huge beautiful bird. It was a bit startled and annoyed but it tolerated us for a few minutes.
