And they call me a REMOANER!! Get your blinkers on!!

14 Years of robbing us ordinary people and giving to the rich!

Funny isn’t that the Media complain about the 15% pay rise for Train Drivers over 3 years, or the 22% pay rise for Doctors over 3 years. But they ignore the 76% pay rise for CEO’s over the last 5 years, or the 38% pay rise for Bankers in 1 year.

Time to redress the balance!

The Tories brought in austerity for us and a bonanza for them! Formed by the rich for the rich!

I was in a trade union all my life!

Without trade unions we would still be on seventy-hour weeks without holidays! All the rights we have had to be fought for. Profit always comes before people. Greed rules!

The more I hear those rambling lies……

I really think he’s having a dementia meltdown. It’s embarrassing. It’s embarrassing that so many Americans think this demented degenerate is rooting for anyone other than himself. I don’t think the bloated psychopath will live another four years let alone be capable of ruling anything. He’s worse than Biden was. It’s embarrassing.

Why Do I Write??

Why do I write? That is a question a lot of people ask me and it is one I often ask myself.

Writing is a lonely, sedentary task. It is time consuming, frustrating and unrewarding in many ways.It was Paul Simon who wrote ‘All my words come back to me – in shades of mediocrity – like emptiness in harmony’.  That about sums it up. I am not the next John Fowles.

I did not study English Literature. Why do I think I can write?

I write because I know I can articulate the contents of my mind into words that will resonate with my readers. I know I can and sometimes I do. I write because I have a head that is full of passions, ideas, thoughts, opinions and stories and I have a burning need to write them down.

I enjoy writing as much as I do reading – and I love reading.

I am not religious. I do not believe in any god or afterlife; I do not believe there is an ultimate purpose. I believe we have to give life a purpose. We have to strive to make the world a better place. Writing does that for me.

I love nature and am destroyed by what we are doing to the planet. It eats me up.

I write about the things that mean something to me. I am a communicator who is an idealist; I believe we can make things better.

I write because I believe in creativity. Creating something beautiful or passionate gives purpose and fulfilment. My books contain the wonder in my head.

I write because it is difficult. Writing a novel is like climbing Everest. It is so hard that it leaves you with a sense of fulfilment when you’ve achieved it. I’ve climbed a lot of mountains.

I write because I am a rebel who wants to change the system. I want to change it because it stinks. I think we can do better.

I write about my passions.

There are no rules. I like to push the limits in every way going. My books are different. They are sometimes extreme.

I write for fun.

I have written 100 books and published eighty four. Eighty two are available on Amazon. They are my babies. They will live longer than me.

I dread to think how many hours I have sat in the dark typing on an old type-writer or pounding the keyboard on my various computers. How much of my life? How many tens of thousands of hours?

A book would take me a couple of thousand hours.

I have carried out rewrite after rewrite.

So far I have earned maybe around £2000 for all those efforts. I make about a dollar a book. It’s not a great return. If it was about the money I could have worked in a filling-station and bought a house!

It’s not even about the recognition. You write into a relentless vacuum. Very few people take the trouble to leave a review or a comment. We feed off the scraps.

Writing. It is sometimes the most discouraging, pointless, lonely task in the world. Sometimes I read what I have written and despair.

But I’m still writing!

The truth about socialism!

Why do you think the wealthy use everything in their power to convince you that socialism is bad?? They don’t want fairness and equality. They are run by greed.

MRI of Trump’s Head revealed!

Hmmmm much more developed than I would have thought!

Inconvenient

Inconvenient

The truth is inconvenient for most.

                The universe began by accident.

None of us are cursed.

No wonderful omnipresent host.

The truth is inconvenient or worse.

                There is no underlying reason

                                No wonderful afterlife.

Just endless oblivion – unrehearsed.

The truth is inconvenient for some.

                The planet is busy warming,

                                Nature is threatened;

The worst is yet to come.

The truth is inconvenient for many.

                Greed is killing everything.

The lust for more is rampant.

Of hope – there isn’t any.

The truth is inconvenient for us all.

                A flawed species rampant

                                Full of lust for power

Vicious beyond recall.

The truth is inconvenient for the blind.

                Our history is littered

With the blood of the innocent.

It’s all we leave behind.

The truth needs to be learnt from

If we are to build a future

                                And intelligently grow

Without the bullet or the bomb.

Opher – 14.8.2024

We all believe what we want to believe based on our upbringing, our education and our experience.

We rarely learn from the past and blithely go on making the same mistakes.

We gullibly swallow what we are fed.

Our whole world is an algorithm.

Our history is one of great violence, wars, senseless slaughter of wildlife, destruction and torture.

While there is much to admire it is overshadowed by the horrors we have exacted on each other and other living things.

We enjoy pain. We enjoy suffering. We love inflicting agony.

We are tribal, exhibiting insane group-think and adrenaline fuelled madness.

We love to believe conspiracies and close our minds to reality.

We see violence as the answer.

We always see violence as an answer.

The whole world is run by a handful of men who can never have enough. They leave misery in their wake.

We never learn from the past. Despite the demise of thousands of gods who have all come and gone we still believe ‘ours’ is real.

We still think the earth is flat and is the centre of the universe. We nonsensically believe in arks, veils and angels. Satan is real for many. We never learn.

We never see the way misogyny, racism and hatred is being used to gain power. We fail to see religion as a tribal tool for a minority to gain power and wealth.

The truth is inconvenient.

Scapegoating Immigrants! This is where the real problem lies!

Who has doubled their wealth during Tory austerity? Money flowed from the poor and public services into the pockets of the wealthy. Immigrants were a way of deflecting the truth!!
