I have used a painting of mine from 1974 as the cover. The painting is in oils on wood. I called it birth of the blues. I thought the image worked with the content of the poetry and writing inside.
I liked the title strip in dark blue which augments the feel for me. What do you think?
I want my books to have a unique appearance and visual impact. Each cover is one of my paintings or photos. I like the look of them when they are sitting on a table. Each one is a work of art and very personal. Each one is unique. The whole book is a creative process.
