Nothing to say
I was talking to Lazy Lester a few years back and he kept telling me that he knew someone who had nowhere to go and nothing to do when he got there. He thought it was highly amusing and said it a number of times. I liked it too.
I kind of feel the same way about most of what I see in the society I’m part of.
In the midst of huge dilemmas, issues and decisions most of us are content to drift along being entertained and pretending the big issues are not of their concern.
Why is that?
Do we feel so disempowered that we are impotent in the face of politics and the big corporations?
Yet even the most powerful individuals in the world are human beings just like us – not super-beings. Their intelligence, understanding and mental processes are no different to our own. They started life as helpless babies. They are people pretending to be important.
The internet is full of trivia, celebrity nonsense and crap. TV is a mess of shallow rubbish.
I believe it is like that because that is how we want it.
Time to change.
If we have nothing to say then perhaps we should stay out of the way of the people who have?
Why clutter up the attic with superficial nonsense?
Are we living or just filling in time?
Nothing to say
If you’ve got nothing to say
Why bother saying it?
If you have nowhere to go,
And nothing to do when you get there,
Why bother going?
Just filling in time.

Isn’t it when these power nutters group together that divisions widen? And can’t we all think of individuals that we’ve known who were one thing within a group and another on their own? Some people are just so needy of recognition and constant inclusion. I think it has something to do with having been too heavily mothered or something like that.
Too true – the two-faced individuals who are mirrors for the people around them. There’s a lot of nutters getting together at the moment in various parts of the world. Perhaps you are right – something to do with mothering? Certainly a psychological flaw. But then we all have a tendency to reflect the part of our persona that attunes to the person we’re engaging with. Perhaps theirs is just more exaggerated?
Yes. I’m thinking do the majority of ‘normal’ people all share the same levels of greed desire? There’s got to be a number of traits involved but I’ve no clue of the terminology used to define them.
I think Psychology is still in its infancy. Maybe they’ll understand it one day.
But there must be one core fundamental facet that creates a ‘Me-Me’ ?
Quite probably. It may just be a romantic notion but I get the impression that some human cultures (North American Indians, South American Indians, Some African tribes) did have an attitude of living in harmony with nature and not needing more than they needed. They were still pretty belligerent though.
It seems to be a basic human trait.
If you think for yourself, if you write exactly what you feel and don’t give a damn if you are recognised or not, are there not people on the internet who think you odd who are prepared to put you down let’s say “nicely”. There are hypocrites everywhere. Just don’t crawl to be recognised. I don’t do groups, never have.
I think you just have to be true to yourself and speak out.
It is just to write, let the words flow. It does not matter if no one else sees it’s the fact that you are expressing yourself that is all that matters.
Thіs is a topic tһat is near to my heart… Ꮯheerѕ!
Exactly where are your contact detailks though?
