Simplistic views.
Trump did it with Zelenskyy who he accused of starting the war by allowing Putin to invade his country while hillbilly puppet Vance pilloried him for not wearing a suit.
Now he’s doing it with Rhamaphosa and false claims of white genocide. Once again, without being in full possession of the facts (probably instigated by a distorted view produced by Musk), Trump has gone full tilt at something complex that he clearly doesn’t understand.
South Africa, with it’s inequality and poverty, has a great amount of crime. White farmers have suffered but that only makes up 0.2% of the crime. They are usually targeted because of their wealth and living in isolated farms rather than being white (they own 60% of the wealth). Obviously they need protection and if they are being targeted by certain violent groups then something needs to happen. What is clear is that it isn’t the simplistic picture put forward by Trump.

Even if it was exactly how Trump portrayed it, is this the way to deal with it?
Aren’t these talks that need to take place behind closed doors?
Should world leaders be ambushed so rudely in front of the world’s press in such an uncouth humiliating manner?
I find it unbecoming of a world leader to behave in such a crass manner. It’s not so much statesman-like as mafia-like.
Is this rudeness going to bear results or will world leaders become incensed and antagonistic?
Is this crass simplistic ambush tactic going to become the new norm?
