Poetry – The Land Reawakens

The Land Reawakens

The land reawakens

                As we go to earth.

As planes and cars park

                It has a rebirth.

Trees full of song

                Rustlings in the straw;

The stirrings of nature

                Snatched from the jaws.

A temporary taste

                Will come to an end;

A glimpse of a future

`               Waiting round the bend.

Opher – 6.4.2020

This is a short sojourn. We shall return to what is charmingly called normality soon. What will happen to nature then? Will they continue to destroy it? Will we let them?

I hope this taste is a reawakening!
