Politicians

Politicians

Psychotic narcissists,

                Plausible Sociopaths,

Conmen too.

Mad profiteers,

                Planning their careers

Haven’t got a clue.

We elect them,

                Select them,

Fooled through and through.

Propaganda and lies,

                Media bias,

Deception grew and grew.

Psychotic narcissists,

                Plausible Sociopaths,

Conmen too.

Opher – 14.2.22022

These politicians are all too often not public servants. They are power-seeking careerists.

What we want from politicians are people who will work hard to do what is best for the people they represent.

What we get are people who scheme and lust for power and who are preoccupied with feathering their own nest at our expense.

They lie, cheat and spin in order to deceive us.

For them politics is a revolving door into status and wealth.

Politics attract narcissists, psychopaths and sociopaths because they either do not care who they hurt or they gain pleasure from hurting people. They do not agonise over policies that plunge millions into extreme hardship or death. To them it’s a game.

Add to that the tribal nature of the system and the media bias and propaganda and you have a toxic system.

Time for a big overhaul!!

Politicians are public servants! They should be held to account for their actions. If they break the law they should be in court. Politics should be crystal clear, thoroughly scrutinised and the people involved subject to draconian punishments for breaking laws and codes.

How have we ended up with the most criminal of gangs in charge of the country? Lawbreaking and lying are second nature to them.

  1. No dispute with what you say here Opher… apart from one minor thing. “We elect them.” Well, I didn’t elect them. I haven’t voted in a general election since 1987. In 2019, I was planning to vote for the Brexit party candidate; but he was withdrawn, and decided not to stand as an independent. So I was left with the same old same old. With the same old result.

But my ideas are obviously having an effect on you! That’s good. I’m a radical, but not left-wing. You’re left-wing, but not a radical. Yet the common ground between us seems to be increasing.

Politicians, though, are not the only problem we face. There are also the Priests and the Professors. You’ve seen through the Priests, but not yet the Professors. And then there are the Bureaucrats… but that’s a different problem.

    1. Lol Neil – I doubt that we are growing closer. My views haven’t changed a jot. It’s just that we agree on some things.
I too have never elected anybody. I’ve always lived in safe seats (one way or another) where votes don’t count. But I always vote. I am aware that is what our ancestors fought and died for the right to do. The fact that the gullible are beguiled by media propaganda is besides the point. The fact that there are a multitude of self-serving career politicians is also immaterial. We get to choose between two evils and can select the lesser. The sooner this system changes to a more democratic system the better.
We need to make our politicians much more accountable!! Many of them should be in court.
