I fell in love with the Kinks back in the mid-sixties. They were a British Beat group who were saying something. I’m Not Like Everybody Else and Well Respected Man both spoke to my fifteen-year-old self.

A great band – very original. Might have been much bigger if they hadn’t got themselves banned!
