This huge building was adorned with the most colourful murals! Fabulous.

Reblogged this on About the Jez of It.
Cheers Jez.
Welcome, bud
Opher, I lived in Rotterdam for three years from late 1977 to late 1980. It was the first place I ever had real money in my pocket! I still have a soft spot for it and its people.
But all this re-building is recent. The nazis destroyed all the buildings in central Rotterdam, apart from the town hall, in one day in May 1940. Everything had to be re-built afterwards; and it was (as you’d expect) shoddy. That’s why there has been so much re-building in the last decade or so. I do hope that the recent builds are more durable than their predecessors.
Yes – I could see that when we went round. It had a nice feel to it though and the people were friendly.
Wow!
It is definitely a Wow!! Cheers!!
