As Mitch McConnell makes his nonsensical statement that Trump is guilty as hell while then acquitting him, the Republican Party is still in thrall to fascism. Instead of standing up for Republican values, honesty and honorability they have gone for cowardice and self-interest. We’ll see where that leads.
Meanwhile, the pave the way for the return of the fascist tyrant.

No real discussion of Fascism ……. the war criminal Chaney/Bush Patriot Act.
No – that wasn’t the focus this time. Can’t do everything all at once.
What you do “focus” upon … ya continuously make general negative statements – comparable to a drip drip drip of a leaking sink – and bring NO supporting evidence which supports your extreme fanatic statements.
Rubbish – you are just blind to the argument. A man sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest.
Simon & Garfunkel, nice song, which does not apply here in my contempt for your utter ignorance. You want to discuss political issues … then you need to bring specifics not just dumb ass platitudes.
Inciting insurrection. Should be sufficient.
Bunk same MO, you never learn. What words of President Trump’s speech some 2 miles distant from the DC riots “incited insurrection”?
All of it – and the rhetoric of the weeks leading up to it. It goes back even before the election when he was laying the groundwork.
This is what Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader said:

Following Saturday’s vote acquitting former President Donald Trump, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., excoriated Trump for his actions on the day of the attack on the U.S. Capitol, calling them a “disgraceful dereliction of duty.”
But he said ultimately, he did not vote to convict the former president because of constitutional concerns.
“There’s no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day,” McConnell said shortly after the 57-43 Senate vote that ended in the former president’s acquittal.

“The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president,” he said, “and having that belief was a foreseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories and reckless hyperbole which the defeated president kept shouting into the largest megaphone on planet Earth.”
McConnell rebuked Trump for his actions after the insurrection as well.
“He did not do his job. He didn’t take steps so federal law could be faithfully executed and order restored,” he continued.
I think he knows better than you Moshe. He said he was guilty!!
Bottom line: he voted against impeachment.
On a silly technicality. He said he was as guilty as hell but couldn’t be impeached because he was no longer in office.
McConnell Says He Would ‘Absolutely’ Support Trump As 2024 Nominee
McConnell is two-faced.
McConnell was unequivocal about Mr. Trump’s responsibility. “There is no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day,” he said, and added that Mr. Trump watched the events unfold on television. “A mob was assaulting the Capitol in his name,” he said. “These criminals were carrying his banners, hanging his flags and screaming their loyalty to him.”
But McConnell argued that he believed it was unconstitutional to convict a president who was no longer in office.
“This was an intensifying crescendo of conspiracy theories orchestrated by an outgoing president who seemed determined to either overturn the voters’ decision or else torch our institutions on the way out,” McConnell said.

Idiot. To impeach or not to impeach. Your “silly technicality”, the stupidity of attempting to impeach a person not sitting as President. Idiot moron.
Lol – you do make me laugh. Under your idiocy any President can do what he wants in his last weeks. He is above the law. All people should be subject to the law. If he was organising a coup he needs being found guilty.
silly goes by name…lame duck.
Are you referring to Trump being a lame duck?? Because I think you’re right. His attempted coup has alienated all right-minded conservatives. They’ll never vote for him. He’s ruined the REpublican party. He’s a lame duck for sure.
Idiot. A President does not leave Office until the new President gets sworn into Office. The period between the election of the new President and the swearing into Office of this new President on Jan 20 of the new year, goes by the term “lame duck”. Civics 101 for morons.
Lame duck applies to a lot of things Moshe. Trump was always a lame duck. Thankfully Biden is busily undoing the damage he created.
Foreign idiot who loves to comment on US politics. The term lame duck – originally coined to describe an out going President. Silly fool, get an education.
All people in power, not just politics, who are moving on can be described as lame ducks. It’s original use has broadened with time. It is when someone no longer has influence.
But the subject matter does not concern “All people”. It directly concerns the President of the United States. Silly moron.
McConnell Says He Would ‘Absolutely’ Support Trump As 2024 Nominee
Lol Moshe – you make me laugh. McConnell just wants to be re-elected. He’s a lying bastard trying to straddle the fence. Hopefully he’ll fall on his groin.
Duh. None the less the Senator openly contradicts your stupid idiotic and totally arrogant bull shit whereby you speculate continually – as if you were an authority on the subject – NOT – against President Trump.
The majority of the Senate obviously agree with me – 57 Senators said he was guilty – 43 senators said he wasn’t (a number of these, like Mitch McConnell, said he was guilty but voted to acquit on the spurious technicality that he was no longer in office). By any democratic standard that is a big majority for guilty. The undemocratic stupidity that it requires an almost impossible two-thirds majority doesn’t hide that. He was guilty and most people thought so. The ones who voted to acquit were doing so to save their own skins – out of cowardice and self-interest.
Idiot impeachment does not depend upon a majority of the Senate. It requires 2/3rd of the entire Senate.
Please read carefully – I’ve already said that. Honestly – your ability to understand simple stuff is getting worse.
Lies. You wrote: “On a silly technicality. He said he was as guilty as hell but couldn’t be impeached because he was no longer in office.” Idiot.
It was McConnell who described the vote as a technicality – that you couldn’t impeach a President who was out of office. He said it was the technicality that the Republicans used to acquit Trump. Except that there was no such technicality. It was shown legally not to be the case prior to the vote – but – out of cowardice and self-interest the Republicans chose to ignore the legal ruling.
The language “technicality” totally vague. Never in the entire history of the US has a radical Congress attempted to impeach a sitting President TWICE. The Constitution has no language for revenge impeachment like Crazy Nancy attempted.
Trump was guilty of insurrection. The majority said so.
Whoever set the bar at a two-thirds majority was wrong. It plays into partisan politics – not the facts. Just think if a government could not be elected without a two-thirds majority? Has Israel ever had a government which wasn’t a coalition? Brexit would never have happened.
Bull shit. To your disease mind he was guilty. Crazy Nancy tried and failed to impeach him over the Jan 6th riots. BLM riots caused cities to burn with Democrat approval.
57 to 43 said he was guilty – others said he was and then voted to acquit. He was guilty and you know it.
Impeachment – not determined by a majority vote – idiot. The Constitution sets and determines how the impeachment process works. Idiot.
the constitution was created by people. It is wrong. It should have been a simple majority like every other vote. He was guilty a big majority says so. He is never going to get reelected. He is the most unpopular President in history. Let him ruin the Republican party and rip them apart with his fascism.
Up yours. The Constitution was accepted by more than 3/4th of all the States in the Republic. The Preamble of the Constitution: We the People of the United States, in order to form a better union etc. The Constitution requires a 2\3rd majority to determine “guilty”. The Senate failed to reach a 2/3rds plurality, therefore President Trump, and President Clinton, also impeached, cleared of all charges. Idiot. Get an education.
You are a clone. You can’t think for yourself. An indoctrinated fool.
We have never elected a government in the UK with a two-thirds majority.
Apples and Oranges made by a political moron. Electing a government of the British Parliament in no wise compares to impeaching a sitting President. Idiot.
Doesn’t it?? really?? Who says.
Two different peoples and nations – that’s who says. Idiot. You pretend that foreigners have the right to make policy and leadership decisions for other independent nations. You pretend that the UN has a mandate to determine the borders of the Jewish State – just one glaring example of your stupidity.
People need protection from the madness of nationalistic mad people. We need a global perspective.
Up your nose with a rubber hose. Israel fought and won its national Independence as a free nation state. Shove your UN communism up your ass.
Israel is heading for a big fall. It’s an illusion.
Oh I am soooo scared b/c Opher the political moron, predicts the fall of the Jewish state.
You are sowing the seeds. One bomb carefully placed. One phial of virus. You’re inviting it.
One bomb carefully placed in London etc etc etc.
Yes. We know. But we’re not deliberately bulldozing peoples houses and occupying their homes and we’re a lot bigger.
Get your ass settlers out of Northern Ireland. Tweeb.
I agree – but the people of Northern Ireland have a vote and they want us there. They could vote for us to go. Do the Palestinians have a vote to kick you out of their land?
Settlers in Samaria have a vote and they want Israel there – hypocrite. Palestine never was a state, cant’ ”kick out” that which never existed – tweeb.
Yes it was. I’ve sent you the maps to prove it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_Palestine
It is only your fanatical nationalism coupled with your racist attitude that doesn’t recognise the people you displaced. Until the matter is settled there will not be peace.
Bunk. You sent – as usual – trash. No currency or Capital of Palestine.
No – it’s been occupied. Jerusalem is their capital.
F*ck You. A Goy from England – your opinion on this subject merits less than shit flushed down the toilet.
Of course – to a fascist racist like you it must be difficult to encounter rational intelligence when you’ve been fed on propaganda.
Ya need to stop drinking and taking hard drugs. Dude your plain looney.
England does not have a written Constitution. The United States has a written Constitution. A fundamental distinction. Idiot.
Constitutions are written by flawed human beings.
Up your’s with YOUR Xtian belief system of “he who has not sinned, let him cast the first stone” bull shit.
Lol – you do cheer me up.

Most unpopular President in history.
polls don’t mean shit.
Of course not. They said he’d lose. He lost by 7 million votes. Next time it will be 40 million votes and he’ll destroy the Republican party for a generation. Hurray!!!
Said he’d lose to bitch Hillery in 2016. We all know how that election turned out. Idiot.
She won the popular vote and beat him by 3 million votes. He’s never had a mandate for anything – just a vagary of a silly system devised three hundred years ago by a bunch of terrorists.
Idiot the US its a Republic. California while it has the largest population of any of the 49 other States of the Republic, its popular vote does not determine the electoral college votes cast by the other 49 States. Idiot.
I know exactly how the States operates politically. That doesn’t make it any more right that the daft first past the post system we operate – a sham of democracy.
Again apples and oranges. The tweeb British system totally different than the twaab American system. The two do not compare like your communist stupidity attempts to justify. The US Supreme Court can declare a law passed by Congress and the President as Un-Constitutional, the British Court system can not declare a law passed by Parliament as Un-Constitutional. Why? Every law passed by the Parliament defines and determines the Constitution of England. Duh.
Yes obviously.
Clinton won the popular vote due to the huge population of California — He tweeb “obviously”.
West and East Coast. It’s the morons in the middle who are nuts and the more South you get the more racist they become.
F*ck You. The nation as a whole understood clearly that bitch Clinton – totally incompetant and utterly corrupt.
So why did she get three million more votes that the fascist Trump?? Obvious really – most people weren’t taken in by the right-wing lies.
Idiot, in California she got 7,362,490 55%. Trump 32.8% 3,916,209
Shame that the moronic middle of America hasn’t got the same savvy as California.
Yo moron: In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray confirmed that every agent mentioned in the Horowitz report — a report from the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General that detailed the origins of the investigation into illusory links between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Kremlin — had been referred for discipline if he or she hadn’t already left, according to The Washington Times.
The Horowitz report found that “so many basic and fundamental errors were made by three separate, hand-picked teams on one of the most sensitive FBI investigations that was briefed to the highest levels within the FBI” that it “raised significant questions regarding the FBI chain of command’s management and supervision of the FISA process.”
And many of Trump’s staff have already been imprisoned for their crimes. Trump will be soon.
More bull shit. Name one person jailed till today b/c of Russia-gate? Your lies they only deceive yourself.
https://www.axios.com/trump-associates-convicted-mueller-investigations-206295a1-5abc-4573-be25-4da19d9adcc9.html
The assessments of Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence agent whose dossier on Trump — funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign — was used in large part to obtain the FISA warrant. The FBI said Steele’s findings had been “corroborated and used in criminal proceedings” (untrue). he FISA application, the report found, “[o]mitted information relevant to the reliability of Person 1, a key Steele sub-source … namely that (1) Steele himself told members of the Crossfire Hurricane team that Person 1 was a ‘boaster’ and an ‘egoist’” and “‘may engage in some embellishment.’”
Revisionist history bull shit. Did Roger Stone serve 40 months in jail? Hell No. The Mueller Report proved itself a disaster for the Democrats. Idiot you never learn and always repeat your biased stupidity. Paul Manafort did not sit in jail for 7.5 years. Same holds true with Michael Cohen and George Papadoulos! Dude your sources prove me and show you for the utter fool you are.

The Bannon accusation of fraud has zero to due with President Trump. Any idiot like yourself can accuse people of crimes. Its called slander. Again on Bannon no court conviction based upon slander made by idiots.
Fraud connected to Trump’s scam for money for the wall I believe. Of course, if it doesn’t originate from ‘Fascist Weekly’ or any other right-wing propaganda machine it’s fake news.
Idiot. I asked you a simple question, and you have totally failed to bring a single Court Room decision which supports your brain dead biased stupidity.
