Fubo Hill was quite amazing. You had a great view over the area with all its weird mountains but you also had these ancient caves full of carved images of Buddhas and Buddhist texts.
Although I did hear that a lot of these had been destroyed in the Cultural Revolution and subsequently restored.
China is recreating its history for tourists! But then – who isn’t?
The culmination of the caves was a large statue of a gold Buddha.
What an interesting place! I heard a lot of places were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution which is so sad because China has such a fascinating history.
Yes – they lost so much. It is a pity.
