Creationism – a nonsense. Stop indoctrinating our children with your pseudoscience!

creationism

Creationists believe that:

  • the world was created by god in six days
  • Genesis is a literal truth
  • The Earth is less than 10,000 years old
  • All life is predesigned by god
  • Evolution does not occur
  • The flood created a new start and laid down all the sedimentary rocks
  • Fossils were implanted in rock strata by god
  • Carbon dating is wrong
  • They believe the writings of a tribe of Arabs in the Middle East thousands of years ago are the literal word of god
  • They believe the creation myths and writings of all other tribes are not the work of god
  • They believe science has got it all wrong

They probably believe in tooth fairies, Santa Claus and Easter bunnies. There is as much validity in those as the Sumerian creation myths.

These are the people who are wanting to educate our children.

  1. This is typical evolution hogwash at it’s very best. Show me an explosion, ie. big bang, that has actually created anything except destruction ? Say no more !

    1. The universe either came from nothing (even if god created it) or it has always been here. So your theory is flawed.
Disregarding all the scientific knowledge we have accrued in favour of a mediaeval philosophy is strange and rather blinkered.
      Indoctrinating children is simply wrong.
Just because we do not understand things does not mean they did not happen. Putting a superbeing into the equation solves nothing.
You are merely replacing one unknown with another.
      That is Hogwash.

      1. “The universe either came from nothing (even if god created it) or it has always been here. So your theory is flawed”

Congratulations. 2 evolutionary theories and a Designer all in one sentence. 😀

        “Indoctrinating children is simply wrong.”

        You said it !

“Just because we do not understand things does not mean they did not happen.”

And that’s evolutionary “science” taught in schools.

“You are merely replacing one unknown with another”

Design and Creation IS known and proved.

      2. Design and creation is a belief. To believe it you have to discount all the evidence from the fossil record, DNA research, carbon dating, astronomical measurement, anatomy and biochemistry, to name a few.
The basis for creation theory is a document supposedly emanating from a super-being to a group of Arabs thousands of years ago.
Interesting as the writing is, as a primitive historical document, I do not accept that has any validity as document purporting to be the word of a deity. To accept that it is the word of god is belief – not fact.
I would certainly like to hear the ‘evidence’ and ‘proof’ of creation. I am familiar with the huge body of evidence supporting the ‘Big Bang’ and ‘Evolution’.
There is a world of difference between belief and factual proof. You seem very sure of yourself. What do you base your proof on?

      3. Your reply did not appear on my Notifier. I know why.
If you actually look into a designed universe and all therein it will make sense to you.
Oh, fossil ! Let’s say the rock around it is 1 million years old. therefore the fossil is 1 million years old and the rock must be 1 million years old as the fossil is 1 million years old. Evolutionists never say both statements in one sentence. I wonder why ? Evolution circular science !
        Proof ? Try here :

  2. I see you failed to address my observation about creation being a belief.
Thank you for the website. I checked it out briefly and will give it a more thorough look later. It appears to be the same old propaganda – I noted the sermon on dinosaurs living with people which I find laughable.
I do not understand your comment about fossils. The rock and fossils can both be carbon dated and are of exactly the same age.
As for design – I do look around me. I See an awesome universe. I see a human body. I see physical laws and evolution. I do not see design.
I am a biologist. Looking at the human body I can make hundreds of improvements. It is poorly ‘designed’ precisely because it has evolved. An example – the lungs open into the pharynx because they have evolved from swim-bladders. There is only one opening and it is connected to the food pathway (oesophagus) which creates the possibility of choking and suffocation. Any designer would have created multiple openings and separation from the oesophagus. That’s the difference between design and evolution. I could go on to brains, necks, joints, the mixing of excretory, egestory and reproductive systems (evolved from a common cloaca) – the list is endless. I could design a far better human being without any trouble.
I think you have been duped and indoctrinated my friend.
Science has a wealth of evidence that is insurmountable. Creation has no proof – only blind belief.

    1. I’m back on your blog as your replies don’t show up on my Notifier.
Thank you for your long reply. You are starting to think as a designer. Great !
I am sorry that you think that I have been duped and indoctrinated. School children are, with text books full of evolutionary theories as facts.
I know in my heart that Design & Creation are true. So I’ll leave you with that.
      Ralph

      1. Thanks for that Ralph. I appreciate your comments and do not mean to be condescending. I just do not see any rational argument for creation. I agree with you I believe all things, including evolution, should be subjected to the greatest scrutiny possible. I see no evidence for creation what-so-ever. I do not accept the bible as a reliable source (I have looked in detail at the way it was put together and find it very suspect).
I agree with you that there are no facts and as an educator I went out of my way to teach that.
The enormous body of supportive scientific research provides evidence that needs to be taken into account. On the other side all the evidence for creation comes from intuition and bible quotes. Neither of these carry any weight with me.
I respect your right to believe in whatever you wish. If you choose to believe that all the science is wrong and god created it all in six days that is fine with me. It is a belief and one without foundation as far as I am concerned.

      2. Oh ! I love science Opher and also having the ability to choose and be flexible in the choices presented, but for how long ? Many governments and certain Middle Eastern cults are in the process of taking away our choices. As I don’t toe the line on the evolution issue I am probably on someone’s blacklist already 😀

  3. You and me Ralph! The religious fundamentalists and fascists have our numbers. The things they hate are free thinkers, individuality and freedom. They want to impose their intolerance and bigotry on everyone.
What a world it would be if we all thought the same! Not one I want to be part of.
I respect everyone has their views and their right to hold them. I might not concur but I would fight for the right for anyone to believe what they like. That is why we had the enlightenment. It gave us freedom.
That doesn’t stop me arguing or expressing my opinion as passionately as possible though!
