Farage, a great lover of Trump and all things Trumpian, seems to have fallen for the same ridiculous denial of climate change (or is it more convenience and opportunism?).
Despite the changing weather patterns, scorching heatwaves, forest fires, terrible floods and melting glaciers he, and Reform claim it’s all a hoax. The scientists have got it wrong.
Madness.
We’re in the same Trumpian universe where experts and scientists are routinely ridiculed. All that matters is the quick buck (And both Trump and Farage are good at making a fast buck for themselves at our expense – this is the lying idiot who promoted Brexit as a way of making us rich – currently costing us £37 billion a year! He did well out of it though!).
The Farage/Reform view of climate change is that it’s a hoax – forget the science, forget the evidence, blindly follow Trump. Greenhouse theory doesn’t exist. Scientists are idiots. We need to keep burning oil, gas and coal.
The trouble is that this does not make sense economically. The Green industry currently employs nearly a million people. Putting the UK at the forefront of Green technology and Green innovation makes absolute economic sense. There are billions to be made exporting green technology to the world. Developing the expertise and making the UK a hub of green expertise will make us a fortune.
Only idiots like Trump and Farage, dinosaurs with their heads up their arses, fail to see this.
Heaven help us if Reform, with its Trumpian conspiracy crap, gets into power. With their racist/.xenophobic flag waving we’d be wearing red white and blue MUKGA hats (with all profits to Farage coffers) and bunging tariffs on allies while kowtowing to Putin.
