You certainly get another view of Vietnam when you head off down the river on a boat. Stilted shacks, boats with painted eyes, green jungle and fisherfolk.

One of the interesting things about Borneo were the shanty towns that were erected on stilts. Lots of people lived on the water. Transport was by motorboat.
