Lynmouth in Devon – a fishing village now a bit of a tourist spot.

Itr still retained some of its old charm. Hard to imagine great torrent of churning water crashing through hurling massive boulders like pebbles.

I was very taken with the grey wagtails.

We were walking through town to follow the river up to Watersmeet.

Walking down from Lynton to Lynmouth in Devon

I’m back to our recent trip to Devon. It’s hot here and I’ve got Miles Davis cooling me down as I reminisce. It is a very steep path down from Lynton to Lynmouth. They had a terrible flash flood here in 1952 that destroyed a lot of the village. Hard to imagine.

It’s a place we visited twenty five years ago! It’s a little different but has lost none of its beauty.
