Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang the 36.57-metre-tall (120 ft) bronze statue of Guanyin (Kuan Yin), the Goddess of Mercy

The last part of the journey up the mountain was on a funicular. At the top was the 36.57-metre-tall (120 ft) bronze statue of Guanyin (Kuan Yin), the Goddess of Mercy.

In these days of wars and threats we sure need some Mercy!!

We made our way to the Kek Lok Si Temple Penang

The largest Buddhist temple in the world!

It was a huge complex up into the mountains.

Penang – Malaysia – In and around the Buddhist Temple complex of Kek Lok Si

As we moved up through the temple complex there was much to see and enjoy of Buddhist art, decoration, sculpture, imagery and architecture.

I just love the colours.
