Love is a refuge
Love is a refuge;
A sphere of unreality
That immunises us
From normality.
Within that bubble
Lies a cosy warmth
Strong enough
To melt the coldest ice.
Peering out,
The world looks friendly
And every problem
Has an answer.
If only love
Could be inoculated
Into the whole population
Of the world.
What a paradise
We would inhabit.

“In that half awake/half asleep state, I could look back into this world and see all that we have been through, you and I and the rest of humanity. All of the days had become one day, the past and the future all happening at the same time… now.
Wars, famine, floods and earthquakes were overcome. Illness and disease were gone. Everything was powerless in the face of love.
What I saw was one day out of a thousand years and each day was a thousand years. All I could recognise and understand was that one day. Anything more was beyond description.”
Covid, Putin, right-wing agendas, Bolsonaro, Trump, dick-head governments, religious fanatics, you name it….Everything was powerless in the face of love.
