The world is full of different cultures. It is amazing to see the diversity. The different ways the human mind operates when it creates religions and customs. Life becomes ritualised and differences emerge. It is incredible to observe.
Each one of these cultures considers itself superior. Each religion considers itself the only one that is right.
I love to see the creativity it unleashes as each tries to prove it is right by producing every more lavish and elaborate icons.
It is psychology at work.
I love it.
Japan was wondrous because it was so different.

Wonderful pics as ever…..amazing decoration on the temple…is it Buddhist?
Did you get any sense of concern over Fukishima?
Thanks for that Ian. I’m glad you like them.
The temple was Buddhist.
We actually went before the Fukishima disaster. We met some amazing people who really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. That’s what I generally find with people the world over. There is a heart of gold in most human beings.
I’m sure if I went back now I would find a lot of discussion about nuclear energy!
I agree. I’ve lived in Bahrain, the US, Ireland and France all for extended periods and have been deeply affected by the kindness shown to me in every country, Well all except France obviously cos they hate the Brits, but the culture was fab 🙂
I’ve met some friendly French people. They don’t al hate Brits.
