It was a misty Autumn day when we set off across the Yorkshire Wolds towards the medieval village of Wharram Percy. The low level cloud and early morning sun created interesting light. The rolling wolds and patchwork fields looked like a pastoral idyll.

Waterfalls and rushing black water gushing over slippery rocks, water stained with peat from the moors until it runs like a flood of Guinness.

It was a sunny day for a walk in the countryside in Yorkshire. Many trees were changing colour, some had already lost their leaves. Streams of black peat-stained water flowed like rivers of Guinness.

Limestone Escarpment at Malham Tarn.
There is something that I find incredibly picturesque about the cracks and crevices of limestone escarpments. The bottom of an ancient sea thrown up for us to wonder at.
