I’m sorry. I have been exceptionally busy and not posted much recently.
We have just moved house and there are millions of things to do. Unpacking, decorating and dealing with all the address changes, utilities, insurance and a million other things has taken a lot of time and energy.
We are finally getting settled though.
On top of that my publisher has been on to me to deal with the edits, captions and cover for my new Ian Dury book. That’s proved fun but time consuming. Ian is one of my favourite wordsmiths and an amazing character. I was fortunate to secure a publishing deal to write a book on him and his work.
The release date has been put back again and is now scheduled for December 19th – just before Christmas. Who knows, maybe a lot of Ian Dury fans will be wanting a late Christmas present?? Or want to treat themselves after the Christmas rush. I can but hope.
Anyway, it’s been great working on it and I am exceptionally happy with the end result:
Ian Dury On Track: Every Album, Every Song: Amazon.co.uk: Goodwin, Opher: 9781789523744: Books
This is my seventh book with Sonicbond publishing. My others are:
Roy Harper On Track: Every Album, Every Song
Captain Beefheart On Track: Every Album, Every Song
Phil Ochs On Track: Every Album, Every Song
Bob Dylan 1962-70 On Track: Every Album, Every Song
Leonard Cohen On Track: Every Album, Every Song
The Beatles – The White Album (Rock Classics)
Bob Dylan – Bringing It All Back Home (Rock Classics)
You might be tempted to buy one for a fanatical friend! They’re all on Amazon – sometimes in 2 formats – paperback and eBook.
As if that doesn’t keep me busy enough I’m a 110 pages into a new Sci-fi novel. This is a sequel to Judgement and it’s totally dominating my mind at the moment. I’m hoping to get the first draft completed in the next few weeks. It’s all plotted out.
Life’s too short! Not enough hours!
So, apologies again for the protracted absence. There’s a lot going on. I might share a few extracts with you over the next days.
All the best!
PS – happy thanksgiving! It is an appreciation to all the Native Americans who took in those first settlers, fed and cared for them through that first winter, isn’t it?
Moving is so stressful, glad you’re slowly getting through it all though. Wishing you the best with the book!
Cheers Pooj. Moving is incredibly stressful. Gonna take ages to recovery and get right! Writing’s an escape.
