Out of blind panic they are promising anything and everything. Fortunately the public have been through this before. All the Tory promises come to nothing – from Brexit busses to Levelling up it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Formed by the rich, for the rich, that’s what they do. They rob from the poor, needy and public services to give bonuses, handouts and tax cuts to the wealthy. For them tax is discretionary.
Now they are making promise after promise knowing they will not be elected. Labour have to beware the landmines being lain.
Yes, I noticed this too. They are promising everything, and no-one believes them any more. Not even their own former supporters. And yes, they are laying land-mines for Labour. Which Labour will probably step on, deliberately, to see what happens when they go off.
