The Indians didn’t leave much physical evidence did they? Different type of culture.
No, they didn’t. They didn’t build with stone. Some tribes were migratory and didn’t stay in any one place very long. Others just built with wood.
Shame really – because history tends to only notice those who leave a large footprint. I did go and see some impressive mounds on the border of Mississippi and Texas. That showed a more settled phase with buildings and agriculture.
