Spirit of the Hawk at the Adelphi!

There was a feast of sonic sound in Hull on Thursday night. The magnificent Spirit of the Hawk brought their Hawkwind brilliance to the stage to support LEC.

Psychedelia reigned!! Psychedelia rained!! We were soaked in glorious pounding sound.

Far from a tribute act these guys made the sound their own! Loud and proud!! Brock and Lemmy would have been amazed.

The lead singer, in his alien glasses, was mesmerising, the band out of this world!

The starship landed and it rocked the world!! We were immersed in acid-drenched pulses!

LEC at the Adelphi – The Sonic Beams Pulsed!!

There was a Psychedelic explosion in Hull on Thursday night! I thought Putin had decided to turn us to a cinder. It turned out to be Rich and Lou’s Loudhailer Electric Company with their new drummer Mark. By heck they exploded!

What a treat! Mark added a heavy, rocky beat with room for Jeff’s amazing guitarwork, Lou’s powerful bass and Rich’s guitar to flourish. This was more ballsy!

Right from the off, with the dramatic new number, set opener, that they borrowed from Celt Arabia we knew we were in for a treat!

The band motored!! The beat pounded! The guitar wailed.

There were no dead fingers talking on Jeff’s guitar – all juicy notes and flowing sound!

Rich got so carried away with the melding of the band that he actually got down in the audience and danced!!

This was heavy psychedelic sound that pulsed with some big-eyed beans from Venus!!
